Hello 
 The Java plug in needed updating and I did it but when prompted to uninstalled the old one, I agreed. When I tried to open a puzzle there was a sign saying plug in missing. I checked System Preferences and there was no Java icon so I downloaded the the update and the icon came back into Preferences. I tried to open another puzzle but it said the same thing - plug in missing. I clicked on the link and did what it said - downloaded Flashplayer. Still no luck. Can anyone help me?

Java plugin is no longer supported on Macos.
You can try the desktop application  https://www.griddlers.net/download .

Hi Rasto, thank you for your suggestion.

I use Safari and Java for Griddlers and until I unintentionally uninstalled Java, it was working perfectly. I have an old computer that doesn't use the latest software because it makes it go too slowly. I have reinstalled Java with the latest version in Safari so why won't it work?

Will I still be able to use Java with the new system? Will it use Safari, where I can use Java? I don't think Java can be used in Chrome, can it?

I am afraid that there will be no way to use Java in any browser anymore. 
Thats the reason I made this desktop application which has Java runtime bundled in.
