Example 6: Color Elimination
Let's start with a simple 3 color puzzle.
Look at the first line. The red clue 1 is easy to put in the puzzle. Only one column begins with a red square, so the red must be placed here. Now it is a little bit more difficult to see where the rest of the red goes. Let's try using the Shift+Left-Click to mark an "O" on squares we know CAN'T be red. | |
This makes solving the red part of the puzzle much easier. We can now easily see where we can add more red squares. Continue adding in more red and marking out the non-reds with the Shift+Left-Click. It is much easier to see where to go. Just remember that the "O"s only exclude the red color - not the black! |
